What is Sculptra® Aesthetic?
This is an injectable aesthetic treatment made from a poly-L-lactic acid that works to replace lost collagen and stimulate the body’s natural production of new collagen. Sculptra® Aesthetic works to reduce the visible signs of the natural aging process and can be used to restore facial volume that has been lost due to age and improve the appearance of marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and chin wrinkles. Sculptra® Aesthetic is a minimally-invasive aesthetic treatment and is injected with a fine needle beneath the skin of the treatment area. At the patient’s request, a topical numbing cream can be applied to the treatment area prior to an injection session to reduce any discomfort associated with the injection process. Treatment sessions typically last for 15 to 30 minutes and have little to no downtime associated with them. Most patients are able to immediately return to their normal activities after an injection session.

How many treatments will I need?
Most patients see the best results with a series of three to four treatment sessions spaced approximately four to six weeks apart. The number of injection sessions required to achieve optimal results can vary from patient to patient depending on the level of volume loss in the treated area and your desired results of treatment. Multiple treatment sessions may be necessary in order to achieve your desired results. Results may vary.
When will I see results?
The results of Sculptra® Aesthetic are not immediate, but you will see gradual improvement in the quality of your skin as the new collagen is produced. This injectable aesthetic treatment yields natural-looking results that can last for two years or more. Results may vary from patient to patient.
Are there any side effects?
You may experience some mild injection-related side effects, including redness, tenderness, swelling, discomfort, itching, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects are temporary and typically subside within a few days of an injection session.
